Nestled along the scenic Passa Païs walking and biking trail, the vibrant village of Mons la Trivalle (population 663) beckons with its natural splendor, highlighted by the renowned beauty spot "Les Gorges d’Héric", accessible from the house via a quaint footpath just 800 meters away.
Explore the village's charm, boasting an excellent village shop brimming with locally sourced, fresh, and organic produce and all common convenience products. There are several restaurants and seasonal snack shacks offering simple yet hearty fare.

Olargues
Just a 5 minute drive away or a 4 kilometer walk on the “Voie Verte” (Passa Païs) you will find this charming medieval village, classed as one of the most beautiful in France.
Most houses are clustered around the belltower, and there’s a so-called “Pont du Diable” crossing the River Jaur, said to date back to the 13th century.
There’s several restaurants, bars, a bakery, butcher’s store and other shops here.
Vieussan and Roquebrun
Vieussan is a 10 minute drive away across the Tarassac bridge. It offers a quaint village centre perched on the hilltop, a riverside beach and a pleasant “Café de Pays”.
Roquebrun is a vibrant village which is often referred to as “Le Petit Nice” due to its sunny and sheltered microclimate. It’s got a large pebble beach on the River Orb, plenty of bars and restaurants and the fascinating “Jardin Méditerranéen” with hundreds of rare species of cacti, succulents and other native plants.
Lamalou-les-Bains
The waters of this pretty little spa town are said to be beneficial for the healing of rheumatic and neurological ailments.
There’s an attractive weekly outdoor market (on Tuesday), a twice weekly covered market, a casino, cinema, wellness center and lots of (mediocre) restaurants.
